Job Description:
The Associate Medical Director of Provider Education is a medically trained individual with extensive knowledge of the CMS HCC-Risk Adjustment Model as well as HEDIS and Quality STAR Ratings. This physician must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with network providers to ensure engagement and cooperation with HCC/STAR initiatives. This individual must work to achieve the goals of the Provider Education team while maintaining a professional, positive, and caring attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Educate network providers about quality documentation, coding, and billing regarding CMS HCC-Risk Adjustment Model and Quality STAR measures.
- Utilize chart reviews to identify potential documentation gaps and enhance provider knowledge and compliance.
- Utilize reports provided to enhance educational opportunities’ and track provider progress.
- Serve as an expert consultant and resource to staff and providers in the network.
- Participate in creating and updating educational tools to be distributed to the network.
- Collaborate and support members of multiple departments to enhance success.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the provider network.
- Demonstrate ability to build strong, positive relationships with providers and office staff.
- Prioritize duties to maximize efficiency and quality of work.
- Manage and promote provider satisfaction through ensuring proactive service, support, and education.
- Travel to off-site meetings as needed.
- Actively identify opportunities for process improvement and communicates best practices to improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Medical school degree required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Proficient in office equipment (computers, printers, etc.) and MS Office programs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to multi-task in a high stress environment.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with providers in a professional manner with a strong commitment to positively representing the company.
- Prior experience with education and CMS HCC Risk Adjust Model, HEDIS, and Quality Stars preferred.
