Position Summary
The position is the lead for all system set-up for PeopleSoft financial aid and student financials, ad hoc query writing, testing, training, and delivery. Works with internal partners to ensure proper operation of all systems and technology used in the Student Financial Services Office.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage PeopleSoft annual set-up. Partners with CRIT-Student Information Systems staff to maintain and modify Oracle/PeopleSoft equation engines used in mass packaging, canceling and repackaging plans.
- Act as liaison between Student Financial Services and CRIT- Student Information Systems and Information Services staff to ensure technical processes are set-up in compliance with federal awarding, disbursing, and refunding regulations.
- Implement, test and maintain all SFS processes related to SFS systems, including but not limited to PeopleSoft, EdConnect, COD, and NSLDS. Assist with testing and maintaining CASHNetTransact, EAB-NavigateECSI, Service Cloud/Salesforce and FAA Access to CPS, and automated processing solutions.
- Write Oracle/PeopleSoft queries and reports related to student financials and financial aid to meet departmental needs. Assist in completing institutional responses to audits and program reviews by providing data needed for the response.
- Oversees the file data for the 1098-T process including social security number request process and data file uploads to ECSI and Transact. Assists SFS in reconciling and responding to Central Administration data inquiries from the IRS as related to the annual 1098-T process.
- Updates and maintains the SFS webpages as required.
- Provide accurate and timely data and reports as requested by staff including Admissions, Finance, and other relevant departments.
- Partners with the Director, Associate Directors, CRIT – Student Information Systems, and staff to identify and prioritize specific functions that need to be improved and/or maintained.
- Assist Directors in the introduction of new functionality. Works with CRIT - Student Information Services and Information Services on implementation. Partner in implementing new functionality.
- Assist Directors as needed with Department of Education reporting and data transmissions, including FISAP, Pell payment, Direct Lending and ISIR processing.
- Assists with maintaining adequate system documentation.
- Maintain an understanding of the latest trends in the field. Attend technical workshops and training sessions, and monitor various related listservs. Some weekend work required.
- Attend and assist in school related functions including but not limited to annual new student orientation, graduation and Admissions events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience with a track record of effectiveness
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- A strong knowledge of Student Financial Services and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred
