We are looking for a motivated and highly organized professional to help manage the retail team and take the lead in community operations at our New York City store in vibrant SoHo. This varied role includes store operations, team leadership, stock management, brand and customer support, events management and coordinating content for social media.

Please note that this is an operational role in a retail environment and will include work on weekends and holidays. The position reports to our Retail Operations Senior Manager.

What you'll do

• Recruit, train, manage and schedule the full-time and part-time team
• Oversee sales and set targets for the store team
• Resolve customer queries, questions and complaints to deliver outstanding service
• Act as a primary point of contact for the 100+ brands from our online community represented in the store, e.g. for deliveries, displays, general store enquiries and feedback on sales
• Manage the store inventory, investigate stock queries, etc.
• Collaborate with other departments on managing in-store events and activations
• Support in the coordination of NYC based store content for social media
• Collaborate with our London and any future stores to ensure that processes align

Requirements

• Experience in retail operations, ideally within a multi-brand environment
• Experience of leading and managing in a shop-floor retail role
• Self-motivated, highly organized and versatile
• Adept at using IT platforms e.g. POS (Shopify), word processing/spreadsheets (G Suite), project management (Asana), communications (Slack, Zoom)
• Background or demonstrable interest in independent fashion, design and beauty brands
• An interest in and appreciation of ethical and sustainable business practices
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Enjoy being part of a team and doing all it takes to help that team succeed
• Ability to adapt and thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-growth business
