We are seeking an Assistant Food Service Director with high volume, high-end catering experience for an exclusive private day school in Danvers, MA. This Assistant Director will manage the Middle School Dining operation and team as well as help with occasional concession operations and catered events. This manager will be responsible for compiling and transmitting weekly reports, menu writing for the middle school all-inclusive operation as well as for the retail breakfast and snack menu. Our assistant managers aid the General Manager and Executive Chef with the SAGE program at the entire venue to ensure guest satisfaction.

Pay Type:

$70,000.00 Salary

What you'll do:

  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and develop client relationships.
  • Assist in general location management as part of the SAGE management team.
  • Assist in ordering and inventory management, scheduling, catering and production, as needed.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP standards.
  • Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing mentoring of the team.
  • Lead by example.

What you'll need:

  • Culinary degree preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Fluency in sanitation and safety standards.
  • Dynamic get-it-done work ethic.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize with proficiency.
  • Retail/Point of Sales experience is a plus.
