Position Summary:

Serve as a liaison between Asbury Inn & Suites and our guests during our Suite Start Breakfast. Maintain the Asbury Inn & Suites kitchen and breakfast inventory.

Hours: 15-20 per week, M-F 8-11am, alternating Sat-Sun 7am-12pm

Essential Functions:

Assist with the daily operations of the Rosa Foster Asbury Inn & Suites

  • Represent Asbury Seminary in welcoming guests, alumni, prospective students, and Seminary officials, by creating an atmosphere of hospitality.
  • Respond to and problem-solve guest concerns that arise during the shift.
  • Answer guest questions regarding ATS and the community; provide directions to/from the Seminary and places in the area.
  • Handle emergency situations by contacting the appropriate personnel.
  • Brainstorm and execute plans to enhance the guest experience at Asbury Inn & Suites

Stock and maintain Asbury Inn & Suites Suite Start Breakfast

  • Ensure that Suite Start breakfast area is clean and well-stocked during breakfast hours
  • Track breakfast inventory and order food and supplies as necessary
  • Clean-up breakfast and commons throughout the morning
  • Deep clean breakfast area and kitchen when necessary
  • Purchase necessary food items from local vendors when necessary
  • Ensure that kitchen and breakfast areas are operating according to health code
  • Prepare food as needed throughout the breakfast hours
  • Wash all dishes at the end of breakfast hours
  • Assist guests with breakfast needs

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager.
  • Attend annual GFS Food Show

Tools & Equipment:

  • Commercial Dishwasher
  • Breakfast Appliances: Waffle Iron, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Toaster
  • Stove/Oven

Education/Certification/Training/Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills needed to interact with the public
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to demonstrate a presence of hospitality and professionalism as needed to represent ATS to the general public
  • Ability to be self-motivated and go above and beyond minimum expectations in order to ensure excellent guest experiences and quality customer service
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to solve problems and make appropriate decisions/recommendations
  • Ability to maintain strict confidences and comply with policies, to include the ability to communicate policies with clear boundaries when dealing with the public
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record
  • Have or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certification
