The Area Manager role at Floyds 99 Barbershop/Palmer Group LLC is a developmental position that provides multi-unit developmental experience for leaders demonstrating the capacity to manage at ever-increasing levels of responsibility. For those with proven leadership results as a General Manager or multi-unit manager in a salon environment, who possess a passion for process excellence, a drive for results, and the ability to proactively collaborate, lead, and influence from a distance when needed. In all of this is the ability to own new levels of productivity and performance, to include sales, service and expense control; attracting, motivating and developing top talent; and effectively implementing the Floyds five. Our Area Manager opportunity is both a training and proving ground for even greater things to come in the future.

If all of this sounds interesting, you’ll be tasked with accomplishing these goals by:

• Overseeing 2-3 stores (on average), plus your own store, providing directional leadership for all in-store tasks
• Championing and modeling the Floyds 99 Barbershop mission, vision and values
• Meeting/exceeding sales, profitability, and operational goals
• Enhancing the Floyds brand through “wow” guest experiences and taking it to “11” with special focus on promotion of the Floyds 5.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with partners and leadership to assess and develop the business
• Attracting, hiring, and retaining a diverse team of top talent
• Training, coaching, developing direct reports.
• Ensuring adherence to all Palmer group policies, procedures and standards, including weekly updates to direct report.
• Leading change and innovation, ensuring all associates are effectively trained to the Palmer Group standards.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

Qualified candidates will be proven retail leaders who possess demonstrated experience in attracting, developing, motivating top talent in a dynamic, ever-changing environment—leading associates through the change curve and developing collaborative, winning relationships. Additional requirements include:

• Demonstrated success in driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets and controlling expenses
• A proven ability to monitor inventory, achieve operational excellence, drive culture and execute merchandising directives
• Proficiency with MS Office and excel, word
• Strong collaboration, organizational and prioritization skills
• Adaptability to flex to changing priorities and expectations
• The ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends and around the holidays
• The ability to attend meetings and zoom calls
• Travel required if needed for training
• Experience is required
• Have a cosmotology license or barber license

Some (but probably not all) of the actions you’ll take to achieve meaningful results are:

• Recruiting, training and coaching shop directors
• Ensuring operational efficiency in each shop
• Ensuring that marketing efforts are consistent across each shop
• Setting market level goals (such as labor utilization estimates and revenue/demand projections)
• Ensuring that shops under your supervision adhere to industry regulations
• Ensuring that all shops meet safety and cleanliness standards
• Managing a regional budget and ensuring that each shop operates within the budget
• Regularly visiting shops in each market to ensure that visual and operational standards are maintained at all times; takes swift and appropriate action when standards are not met
• Monitoring each shop’s financial performance
• Addressing operational problems that arise
• Partnering with your superior on behalf of the shop to find the best possible outcomes
• Ensuring that client experience levels are consistent across shops and the best in the industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
