Apprenticeship Lite is a 6 month on the job training program for high school graduates of technical programs (Summerville High School mechatronics program, Charleston County Career Schools, Dorchester County Career Schools, etc.). Students in the Apprenticeship Lite program will be assigned a mentor and complete various technical trainings.
The Apprenticeship program consists of an education component, hands-on training, opportunities to lead and participate in impactful projects. Following a successful completion of the program, students will transition into Technician positions at the Charleston facility upon graduation.
Apprentices will:
- Complete hand-on projects applying the knowledge gained through course work.
- Shadow Technicians on product lines (Electric Mobility, Port Fuel & Gasoline Injection, and Chassis Control)
- Upon completion of the 6 month Apprenticeship program, apprentices will be placed into a Technician position at Bosch Charleston
- Apprentices are fulltime Bosch associates and are eligible for Health and Wealth benefits starting their first day including: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and Paid Time Off.
- 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED
- A resume must be included with your application
- Applicants must be able to perform all physical duties of a skilled labor associate (i.e. heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching)
- While attending the program, Apprentices must be able to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Charleston Tri-County Area residence preferred
