ITT Inc. is looking for a Product Specialist to join their Industrial Process team in Seneca Falls, NY. The Product Specialist will provide daily support to Sales force to acquire centrifugal pump business. This includes technical support, costing, bid preparation, and product promotion. Assist other departments with engineering, production, and field service. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Responsibilities:

• Assist Sales force (direct/indirect) by providing technical information, costing, and application support.
• Determine product and buy-out cost estimates. Lead on-going value engineering projects to reduce product costs.
• Manage orders for special products including interpretation of specifications and schedule management.
• Prepare promotional product newsletters and presentations including customer and pump school training.
• Assist R&D Engineers with product engineering, analysis, and design to fully meet customer’s requirements.
• Assist assembly and test as required to resolve technical and contractual issues to meet customer’s requirements.
• Troubleshooting and field problem resolution (for both Assigned Products and Others as directed by inquiry volume

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required; A bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 3+ years of engineering experience testing pumps, rotating equipment, or related industrial equipment
• Knowledge of the testing and troubleshooting of centrifugal pumps (vibration & hydraulic)
• Knowledge of test instrumentation, measurement, setup, and calibration process/procedures (Head, Flow, Power, Temperature, Vibration, Displacement)
• Knowledge of a programming language (LabVIEW, Ladder logic diagram development for PLC’s; Flowcharting of electronic controls preferred)
• CAD, FEA and CFD analysis a plus
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes is preferred
• Knowledge in electric Motor controls and VFDs a plus
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to identify barriers to success and find solutions working across the organization.
