Summary:
- This senior developer role is part of B2B eCommerce application agile team consisting of 10-12 people including a Scrum master, Product Manager, onsite-offshore Developers, Business analysts, automation testing team and UX designer working on enhancing and supporting a production application.
- Responsibilities include design, develop and support the enterprise eCommerce B2B applications
- This eCommerce platform generates $60B+ of annual revenue across multiple storefronts
- You will be engaged with highly energetic teams of 150 people supporting these platforms/storefronts
- This role will be a key resource for the teams on supporting best practices, solutions to new business problems, doing POCs of the product to add new capabilities to our eCommerce offering, supporting the production environment, and performance tuning to support our high volume

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop complex eCommerce technical solutions using J2EE components and MVC patterns in Spring MVC, and SAP Hybris
- SAP Hybris – items.xml / flexible search queries/rest controllers/cronjobs/events / solr / backoffice customization etc.
- Work on Code reviews, Code merges and ensure code quality through different tools like SonarQube, JSLint
- Analyze logs from servers and troubleshoot issues
- Develop Restful Web Services in J2EE using JAX-RS and other libraries. Strong understanding of web services architecture and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Efficiently use code versioning tools such as Git and Bit bucket Enterprise.
- Provide architectural insights into newer Java UI framework and Java server- side programming
- Provide standardization insights into Java server- side programming
- Uses various Tools effectively: JIRA, SLACK, Confluence, Jenkins.
- Coordinate and work with the Operations team on day to day basis on Production Support, DevOps and database-related issues
- Think through complex problems and work with a team to implement real-world solutions
- Be part of architecture scrums to create spikes for Proof of Concept items.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsersUnderstanding of React.js and its core principles is a plus.
- Advanced Java, j2EE, and Spring MVC experience
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or equivalent related field or equivalent work experience
- Typically have 5-8 years of application programming and analysis experience
- Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Provides technical guidance or system process expertise
- Develops reports and presentations for senior management, as needed.
- Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions
- Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies in a variety of technologies and environments
- Advanced programming skills in several programming languages
- Advanced understanding of relational database design and theory
- Ability to translate complicated business requirements into multiple solution options and explain the pros/cons of various approaches
- Advanced knowledge of Object-Orient Design Patterns and use cases for applying them
Must haves:
- 5+ years of experience in building enterprise web applications
