HOURS AND COMPENSATION

The general hours for this position will be Monday thru Friday 1:00pm – 6:00pm during the school season, mid-August through mid-June. During school closure days hours will be 8:00am – 6:00pm. Pay range will be $17.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ARC Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to school aged children. The team leader will supervise ARC counselors, communicate with parents and maintain scheduling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Plan and facilitate recreational activities.
• Cooperation with the entire staff in working together for the welfare of the children and program.
• Organize and lead children through recreational activities.
• Maintain a professional image and enforce all rules, regulations, and work to create a safe environment.
• Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of all safety and first aid procedures.
• Responsible for set up and clean up the facility prior to opening and after closing, respectively.
• Employee must possess the ability to deal with residents, staff and job responsibilities under stressful conditions

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school graduate or equivalent experience in a leadership role with a business that requires supervisory skills and interaction with the general public. Must have experience leading and organizing school-aged children. Ability to effectively manage childrens behavior. Must have current First-Aid, CPR, and AED certification or able to obtain within 90 days. Must demonstrate maturity, reliability, imitative and responsibility and show genuine interest in character youth development. Previous Must possess excellent customer service skills; friendly and outgoing; the first person to greet guests. Must be able to handle concerns, complaints and/or compliments in a professional and respectful manner.
