Aerodynamics Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client in (Troy, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.). is looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer. This is a long-term position.

What You Will Do:

Aerodynamics Engineer (Troy, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.).

Responsibilities include: Flight control system design. Flight dynamics of flexible wing. Flight Test.Work in flight dynamics with 6-DoF simulation capability, utilizing deep understanding on flight mechanics and control theory. Model and predict dynamic characteristics of highly flexible wing and active flutter suppression system. Build aerial vehicle prototypes, instrumentation of flight testing, and reduction of large size data. Review flight dynamics of high aspect ratio and flexible wing structure accounting for aero-elasticity and structural dynamics. Use aerodynamic tools to predict stability derivatives such as Tornado, VSPAERO, or DATCOM. Work in flight control system using MATLAB Simulink. M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. University coursework must have included: Aerospace Vehicle Dynamics Control, Aerospace Vehicle Guidance and Navigation, Embedded System Development and Aerodynamics. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
