Monday through Friday - 2pm to 10 pm
ADMISSIONS NURSE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Supports care management in administrative and psychosocial situations.
Informs nursing personnel of new admission(s) and ensures paperwork and follow up calls to physician's offices, residents, POA's families and others with vested interest. - Reconciles hospital discharge summary with physician, obtains any new orders and enters into electronic health record for implementation as ordered by attending physician.
- Collaborates with nursing team in the assessment by the admitting Charge Nurse and notifies the resident, physician, and interested family member immediately of changes in resident status as well as incidents/accidents that may requires physician interventions.
ADMISSIONS NURSE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Active Registered Nurse License Required
Experience in long-term care, preferably in ad Admissions or Social Services capacity or related field with equivalent experience.
ADMISSIONS NURSE KEY COMPETENCIES
- Customer Service
- Nursing License in State of Maryland
