Protocol Admin Assistant/Technical Lead
This position requires a TS/SCI
TENICA is seeking a Protocol Technical Lead who will be responsible for oversight of a large team of protocol personnel working in various CONUS locations. Ability to operate efficiently and independently is critical.
Responsibilities
The Protocol Tech Lead will plan, coordinate, and execute daily protocol requirements across the agency to include providing weekly input to geographical operational reports (e.g., distinguished and international visits)
General protocol office support: Developing briefings, coordinating conferences, meetings, ceremonies and social functions involving federal and state legislative delegations, general officers/flag officers of the United States and foreign nations' military and other civilian high ranking officials
Event support; Advising the customer on military customs and courtesies per the Military Services Regulations; traditional and formal diplomatic customs, courtesies and etiquette for both foreign and domestic visiting dignitaries
Planning, coordination and execution of administrative and logistical support for a wide variety of official and social functions including: event agenda, invitations, rendering of honors, flag displays, receptions, receiving lines, planning packages, escort duties, etc.
Distinguished visitor support to Flag Officers/General Officers, members of the Senior Executive Service, Program Executives/Directors, and Foreign dignitaries
Coordinating visits to include preliminary arrangements, preparing visitor agendas, monitoring and updating itineraries, and preparing support arrangements.
This dynamic environment requires protocol professionals that are also directly responsible to support the operations, management, scheduling, logistics and some limited Audio/Visual (A/V) support for over 16 collaboration centers and conference facilities
Requirements/Abilities
Expert in government property regulations and systems.
Expert developing, maintaining and coordinating administrative and event schedules.
Expert developing protocol products such as briefing papers, scripts, invitations, itineraries and other forms of written communication.

Expert in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills to include phone, office etiquette, and written skills.
Expert knowledge of foreign relations/protocol procedures that apply to military/civilian leaders (foreign and domestic)

Education/Experience
BA/BS AND 5 years of relevant protocol experience within DOD supporting General Officer/Flag Officers/Senior Executives Service (SES) and /or Garrison, Installation, Base level Commanders OR 8 years of relevant protocol experience within DOD supporting General Officer//Flag Officers/Senior Executives Service (SES) and /or Garrison, Installation, Base level Commanders.
3 years' experience supervising and providing direction to team members.

5 years' experience in planning, coordinating, executing, and providing logistical support for conferences, meetings, ceremonies, and social functions.

5 years' experience and knowledge of military regulations, military customs and courtesies.

5 years' experience managing and coordinating government protocol events which may include scheduling venues, parking coordination, transportation, accommodating distinguished visitors, and coordinating audio/video requirements.
