*Acute Residential Counselor Adult - Lakeview*

Create a safe and supportive home environment for adults with mental health issues.
Lakeview is a long-term recovery-based Howard Center group home for 16 adults with mental health challenges. Many of our residents have lived together for decades, and several of our dedicated team members have worked at Lakeview for decades as well.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain a stable, therapeutic environment
• Implement treatment plans
• Teach independent living skills
• Provide supportive counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention
• Help residents strengthen coping and symptom management skills
• Maintain the safety of the house by monitoring who is coming and going

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals experiencing major mental illness and substance abuse issues.
• Ability to handle crisis situations, work in a team environment and maintain respectful relationships is essential
• Valid driver's license and transportation

Structure:

• Starting at $21.66 an hour
