MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC), a member of MedStar Health, is seeking an experienced, certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to become part of our established multidisciplinary Stroke Intervention team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of neurology or neurosurgery experience; stroke experience preferred. In this role, the nurse practitioner will perform initial and ongoing patient assessment and physical examination, and will develop diagnostic and treatment plans in collaboration with the attending neurovascular interventionalists, stroke neurologists, and neuro-critical care specialists. In addition, the incumbent may provide procedural assistance in the Interventional suite. The nurse practitioner will have a keen interest for participating in and expanding the neurovascular intervention program as an integral member of the team. Anticipated schedule: three 12-hour shifts/week, rotating day and night coverage with the APC team.
