Job Summary:
Meridian Behavioral Health Services is currently seeking to fill multiple positions for dynamic, passionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Assertive Community Action Team (ACTT) in Cherokee County. ACTT is an evidence-based wrap-around model of care that supports individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to improve their overall well-being while remaining in community living. The ACTT Nurse is responsible for assessing physical needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist. The ACTT nurse is also responsible for providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation and support services including general and condition-specific health education, medication education, and psychiatric rehabilitation.

Job Requirements:
The ideal applicant will meet the following requirements:

• a current RN or LPN license in North Carolina
• a valid driver's license without violations or restrictions which could prevent completing all required job functions,
• reliable transportation, and flexibility and moderate computer skills
• the ability to be a part of an "on-call" rotation when necessary
• One year of psychiatric experience strongly desired.
