We are hiring an engaging, energetic, creative, and compassionate Activity Assistant (Resident Lifestyle Assistant) to join our growing team in our beautiful senior living community Cogir at the Narrows. As the Activity Assistant, you will support the Resident Lifestyle Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating a wide variety of life-enrichment activities for our residents daily.

What will you do as an Activity Assistant?

  • Lead or assist with group, one-on-one, social, religious, educational, indoor, and outdoor activities, exercise, as well as assist with outings.
  • Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips, and special events encouraging participation.
  • Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter.
  • Lead assigned activities.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes when required.
  • Review goals and progress notes.
  • Assist Resident Lifestyle Director as necessary.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

  • Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of 3-6 months of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Experience with memory care is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, be patient, and always treat our residents with respect and dignity.
  • Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus!
  • A valid state driver's license.
