Job Purpose:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be involved in all aspects of companywide receivables management, from job setup to collections. They are responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist must comply with established policies and procedures. This person is expected to work with all divisions of the company and work closely with all accounting staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accurate and highly detailed Project Setup
  • Processes various types of billings, including recurring, enhancement, irrigation & tree removal.
  • Manages high volume of billings for multiple departments
  • Review & apply payments and enforce lien waiver compliance process
  • Manages Collections via calls, emails, statement issuance and overdue reminders

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, college level accounting classes or Accounting Degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principals
  • Experience in collections preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good mathematical background
  • Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
  • Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours to meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Sage 300 and Office Connector Reports preferred

  • Office Connector Reports: 1 year (Preferred)
