Location: Johnston, Iowa | Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Reports to VP of Finance

The Accounts Payable Clerk II is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of advanced accounts payable functions including processing invoices, monitoring certificates of insurance, entering contracts and change orders, and reconciling monthly statements.

- Work with project management and accounting teams to answer questions and resolve accounting issues by researching data; become a trusted source for accounts payable functions
Focus on End Goals
- Maintain a team oriented and results driven mentality; we are vital to each other’s success
- Monitor life cycle for all accounts payable documents in compliance with company policies and procedures; includes data entry, routing to approvers, posting transactions to accounting software
- Review coding and approval of accounts payable documents
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Scan and file vendor contract documents with a high degree of accuracy for timely reporting
- Coordinate with operations teams to gather required items from subcontractors and suppliers
- Perform various clerical tasks as needed, including but not limited to, filing, organize supplies, answer phones, etc
- Maintain organized workspace
- Adhere to company and department policies and procedures
- Provide basic support for all departments as needed, along with other assigned duties
Drive Innovation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate those opportunities prudently and tactfully
- Utilize the appropriate technology to provide best in class solutions
- Document accounts payable processes as they evolve to assist in department communication
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently in an office environment
- Occasional activities of office environment include balancing, bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion
- Frequent activities of office environment include sitting, standing, walking, typing and other computer work, using telephone and other standard office equipment
