Northeastern Counseling Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Accountant in either the Roosevelt or Vernal office.

This individual will perform complex professional accounting duties including but not limited to:

• Manage financial reports, records and accounts
• Maintain general ledger
• Analyze budgets and create expense reports
• Reconcile bank statements
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures
• Prepare documents for audits
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
• Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
• Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes

Applicants must have strong mathematical and analytical skills, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and be able to create and maintain spreadsheets effectively. Must have the ability to read and analyze financial reports, handle multiple projects simultaneously and be able to work independently. Must be able to keep sensitive financial information confidential and have strong attention to detail. Must have an excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. Candidates must be able to pass Criminal Background Screening; must possess a valid Utah driver’s license with good driving and safety record; must be at least 21 years of age. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefit package including retirement, 401(k), term life, health, dental, and vision insurance plus a generous holiday, vacation and sick leave allowance. Salary is $50,000 - $60,000 annually. Position is open until filled.
