JOB SUMMARY
The Account Executive is responsible for seeking new business prospects for the expansion of the business. This position will serve to improve the company’s market position by locating, developing, and negotiating business relationships.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Potential Customers. Identify prospective customers. Call on potential customers in target market. Make sales presentations.
- New Customers. Coordinate administration of new customer account set-up through obtaining appropriate documents to provide to appropriate Department.
- Prospect for new customers by following up on leads, networking, industry research, cold calling, or other means of identifying potential business partners and turning them into long term partnerships.
- Research and develop a thorough understanding of the target client. Track and record activity on potential/new prospects.
- Identify client needs & deal requirements. Plan and develop proposals that address client needs and concerns, and are mutually beneficial to both organizations. Make client proposal presentations.
- Handle objections and close new business deals by negotiating contracts. Participate in the New Business Lines Application Process to integrate new client requirements with IT/Finance/Operations and hand off to the Sales Executive.
- Enhance existing business relationships by presenting new products as they become available to improve client retention.
- Submit weekly progress report and submit to appropriate individual.
- Attend trade shows and network, when necessary.
- Direct qualified/approved sales opportunities to the correct Sales Executive for closing.
- Perform additional duties and/or projects as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 3 years in inside sales/business development required.
- Prior experience with an e-commerce-based organization helpful.
- Must have ability to make professional sales presentations.
- Successful candidates should have a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity. Initiative and desire to succeed.
- Must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred.
- Must have knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles and the ability to build relationships.

This position travels locally, requires the ability to drive an automobile, calling on multiple business locations throughout the day; travel is within south Florida, potentially in high traffic situations with moderate noise levels. Also works in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels. Individual may sit for long periods of time while operating a keyboard and/or communicating via telephone. May involve standing/walking as needed primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May include lifting up to 15 pounds on occasion.
