What You Drive at DTNA
- Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
- Provide work direction and assist 4 Cycle Head Machining team members to meet objectives
- Communicate company objectives and goals in a positive manner
- Update TIP boards
- Protect company equipment, tools, interest and employees
- Identify and support correction in regards to safety, quality, and performance issues
- Collaboration with Cycle Count Team
- Use of Navision & Kanban for parts movement
- Assist with documentation and form development- Write and edit work station instructions
- Assist supervisor with other duties as assigned
- Reporting of safety, quality & equipment issues
- High level of analytical and problem solving skills
- CNC certification & forklift license preferred
- Working knowledge of specific work areas
- Possess good communication (both oral and written) skills
- Computer skills are required, verbal & written
- Use and knowledge of computers ( Outlook, Word, Excel, Navision, Powerpoint)
- Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
- Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
- Operate the following tools and equipment: jigs and fixtures, hand tools, plasma cutter, hoist, pallet jack, forklift, fire resistant suit & hood.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
- Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Must maintain a clean work area.
- Must pass respirator fit test
- Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
- Cross train on other jobs as required
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
- Previous mechanical experience
- Previous Leadership experience preferred
- High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
- CNC Certificate & knowledge preferred
- Must obtain CNC certification within 6 months of acceptance if not currently holding a certificate
- Forklift Certification preferred
