Shipping Clerk (Edison)

Apparel Distribution is looking for a Shipping Clerk in Edison, NJ. The shipping/receiving Clerk will perform a clerical shipping, and other general administrative duties.

About the Job:
This position is based out of Edison, NJ and has a typical work schedule Monday-Friday. The primary function of this position is to support the Shipping Department by providing timely and accurate information to warehouse personnel and ensuring outbound shipment/ customer product is shipped on time and as expected.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma
• 2 Year of Experience in shipping, distribution and logistics is strongly preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point,
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, speaking, coordinating and organizational skills
• Be able to motivate others and lead by example.
• Must be a team player with ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and follow-up on requests.

. Must be organized & detail oriented

• Must be able to perform well under pressure.
• Primary Responsibilities:

Prints labels and creates Bills of Ladings.
Request routing for retailers (Macy's, Nordstroms, Burlington, Walmart, Sak's 5th Ave, Sam's club, etc.)
Follow consignee's routing guides and compliance requirements.
Creates an outbound dock schedule for customer orders using a transportation guide.
Scans, files and stores shipping documents as necessary.
Assists customers with shipping issues as they arise.
Updating spreadsheet in Google Docs
Develop & maintain operational procedures that assure the quality of packaging for outbound shipment meets company & customers standards
Generate reports to track/ monitor outgoing shipments
Schedule pick up appointments, enter computer data, verify inventorySalary:
38K-45K

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
