2nd Shift Powder Applicator & Parts Hanger
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Job Status: Full-Time
Schedule: M-Th – 4pm - 2:30am, No Overtime
Wage: starting at $24.00 per hour, based on experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Powder Applicator is responsible for priming and powder coating parts by operating automatic and manual powder guns. The Parts Hanger is responsible for hanging and unloading parts on the powder line so they may pass through the wash and powder application system. The goal of the Powder Department is to strive for efficiency and accuracy to create superior end products for our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Team members rotate as parts hangers, applying powder, unloading parts & packaging
Parts Hanger/Unloader:
Prep parts as required for application.
Efficiently and accurately hang parts on the line to eliminate inspections fails.
Clean powder booth as needed to ensure minimal loss time for application.
Check chemical levels in the wash system.
Unload parts from line while conducting appropriate inspections using a MIL gauge and cross-hatch tool, document inspections as required.
Package and box parts after they are unloaded.
Powder Applicator:
Identify appropriate powder color to be used.
Set automatic guns for application.
Apply powder to parts.
Clean all system components, nozzles, tubing, etc.
Clean powder booth as needed.
Communicate with parts hanger team members to ensure efficiency
- Additional responsibilities based on production requirements will be assigned as necessary.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Metal fabrication environment with experience on a powder line a plus; but not required
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers is helpful

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed on the shop floor which is not climate controlled.
