Under the direction of the Web Press Manager, the 2nd Pressman – Level 2 is responsible for the inspection process of print production along with understanding all reports of press run.
Set ink keys.- Make ready Units only: setting side lay, move clamps, setting webs, setting ink.
- Inspection of printed material after registration.
- Inspection of pagination compared to laser proof.
- Maintain quality of the document being printed by monitoring registration, all marks, folds, ink density and water balance throughout the press run.
- Knowledge of paper roll reports.
- Knowledge of paper waste reports.
- Setting and changing rollers.
Minimum 2 years equivalent work experience- Strong organizational, and time management skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with printing material inspections and reports
- Ability to configure ink setting variation
- High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
- Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
- Energetic, dependable and a reliable team player
- Ability to follow directions, safety standards and be on-call for emergency situations
- Willing to work overtime as required, occasionally on short notice
- Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery
