Positions available at our school-based location in Altoona working with Elementary kids and Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire working with youth and/or teens!

The Boys & Girls Club is an after school and full day program when school is not in session. The Club has three outcome areas in academic success, good character & citizenship and health lifestyles. Youth Development Specialists are direct program staff with Club members whose ages range from 7-12.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Homework assistance/curbing learning loss programs
- Facilitate or support program activities within the three outcome areas.
- Role model kind, caring and respectful behavior.
- Assist in engaging and making the Club a fun place to be!
- Support positive behavior between kids, staff and volunteers.
- Communicate with the Program Coordinator if/when behavior issues arise and need more attention.
Prepare Youth for Success
- Create and provide programs that prepare youth for success, promote safety of members and high quality.
- Provide ideas for new programs and/or field trips with the approval of the Program Coordinator.
- Promote and stimulate program participation with kids attending your program and at the Club.
- Ensure that all new and returning kids are welcomed by learning their name and providing check-ins.
Health and Safety
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in your program room/area.
- Ensure that kids are using Club materials and equipment in a safe and positive manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- May participate in special programs and/or events.
- May be required to drive the Club van.
- Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Hourly wage: $11-$13/hour
