POSITION SUMMARY:

Yardperson will be responsible for organizing and maintaining all medium to heavy equipment in the yard. Yardperson must have a solid work ethic who manages multiple tasks at once. Must be flexible to learn and assist multiple positions as deemed necessary.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting customers in friendly and professional manner.
• Assist customer with parking for unloading and loading.
• Visually check equipment and take necessary pictures.
• Log hours off the equipment
• Assess fuel needs and fuel logs
• Verify Serial Number on machines.
• Ground maintenance
• Presentation/Order/Parking of equipment on the yard.
• Keep equipment neat and organized.
• Attaching Nichols Equipment codes on equipment attachments.
• Assist with presentation of pads in front of Nichols Equipment building
• Quality Control of equipment return and checkout for next rental
• Immediately report any damage on facilities and equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing a safe work environment and take an active role in a safe work environment.
• Communication amongst all team members and be able to assist in any department area when needed.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures found in employee handbook.
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum high school/GED education and prefer 1 year of experience in construction industry and or customer service.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to operate trucks, agricultural, construction, and consumer equipment preferred.
• Must be flexible and highly organized.
• Must be honest, respectful and trustworthy wile demonstrating a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must be an active listener and exercise sound judgement.
• Must have the ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Exhibit a cheerful presence and teamwork skills.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Analytical and organizational skills.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check at time of hire.
