Yard Jockey and Clerk Position 10:00am to 7:00pm Job at Crawford Transportation
We are seeking a full-time yard hostler/driver that shares in our dedication and commitment to providing a professional image with an assurance of excellence and exceptional customer service.
What would you do:
-Check in drivers.
-Assists with directing incoming drivers to the correct parking slot for their trailer drop and pickups.
-Moves loaded trailer to designated dock doors for loading.
-Ensures all dock trailers have wheels chocked.
-Responsible for safe and efficient moving of trailers so as to not damage any property.
-The ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
Qualifications:
- At least one year tractor trailer driving experience is a plus.
- Yard Hostling Experience is plus.
- Must have valid Class A CDL. (NO RESTRICTIONS IS A PLUS)
- Must have a clean MVR, and current DOT physical card. (NO MORE THEN 3 POINTS WITHIN THE LAST 3 YEARS/NO EXCEPTIONS).
- Applicant Must provide copy of clean MVR before being considered for interview.
- Must pass drug test and criminal background check.
- Must have reliable transportation to the Lithia Springs/ Fulton Industrial Area.
- Must have strong work ethic.
- Must have excellent Leadership skills, customer service skills, and communication skills.
Job Requirements:
- Local Only.
- Monday thru Friday ( 2 Saturdays per month).
- Must be on time.
- 10:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.
- 30 minute lunch and (two 15 minutes paid breaks).
- Avg. hours 40 - 45 hrs/wk (overtime after 45 hrs).
Benefits:
-Hourly wage $22.00-$23.00 hr. Based on experience.
-After 90 days 5 Personal Days and paid Holidays.
-Performance reviews after 6 months.
-Safety Awards Quarterly.
