X-Ray Tech/Radiologic Technologist-
Job Description:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist our talented team performing radiological duties in compliance with x-ray department and legal requirements. Aid patients to feel comfortable during the entire x-ray process.
Perform selected medical assistant and administrative/clerical duties that assist in the delivery of quality patient care management under the direction of a physician. These duties are delegated in relation to the individual's degree of training, in accordance with the objectives and policies of the organization and respective state laws.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Follows principles of medical ethics for radiology technologist
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by supervisory staff
• Performs medical assistant and radiological procedures
• Assists the providers with patients, including preparing patients and the examination rooms, taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs, and explaining the process to the patients
• Performs x-rays as directed by the provider
• Gives instructions to patients as instructed by provider
• Assists with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by physician

Keeps medical records in accordance with procedures and formsFollows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality

• Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required

Clean wounds, remove and apply dressings and splints as directed by provider.
Assists in procedures under the supervision of provider and for which training has been given.

• Other duties may consist of notifying patients of test results Performs other admin related duties, as assignedRequirements:

MUST HAVES:

• Registered Technologist (R.T.) license by State of Fl
• BMO Certification for State of FL
• Xray technician with MA certification

Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
