The focus of this role is to ensure that all newly arrived participants have safe, affordable and sanitary housing and ensure that participants have the basic household that they need.
-Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with recruiting and supporting volunteers across all AmeriCorps projects at World Relief.
-Housing Inspection, cleaning and repair reports, and home and lease orientations with clients.
-Work with the GIK and resettlement team to provide and deliver furniture, household items, and other needed items to newly resettled families.
-Ensure that all newly arrived participants have safe, affordable and sanitary housing.
-Communicate with R&P staff on housing needs and collaborate with housing team to find appropriate housing.

World Relief Spokane is a non-profit organization that serves refugees and other vulnerable immigrants with a variety of services. The office works with these program participants from their first day in the United States for many years to come as they adjust to life in America. As part of our housing program, we want to ensure that every newly arrived participant has safe, affordable and sanitary housing. The Housing and Resource Specialist role is designed to not only communicate with program staff about needs and finding housing, but to also do outreach with potential landlords and property managers and expand the housing capacity that our participants can access. Part of the role will also be hands-on direct support with participants, going over leases and conducting home orientations. In addition, this role will work with the GIK and resettlement team to provide and deliver furniture, household items, and other needed items to newly resettled families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,785.90 per month
