Weyerhaeuser’s Vail Timberlands operation, based out of Rainier, WA has an opening for a Woods Utility position. We are seeking an individual who desires to work in a market-focused logging environment. This is a full-time, dayshift hourly position. Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits (in accordance with the Labor Agreement) include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k plans, Vacation and Holidays. Rate of pay is $30.50 per hour.

Key Functions

• Safely and competently operate equipment and perform tasks as assigned while adhering to safety, environmental, production and quality standards
• Competent, qualified and able to work independently as well as a team
• Ability to conduct/assist with minor maintenance task as needed
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned (e.g.: flagging, signage, run parts, gate maintenance, bucking)
• Ability to be trained and learn to operate various pieces of equipment
• Perform and assist on equipment inspections and fully support and participate in preventative maintenance procedures and routine maintenance repairs as they develop

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to run logging equipment (processor, shovel logger, loader)
• Safety-conscious, taking the personal initiative to work safely, contributing to the safety of the team members, and maintaining a safe work environment
• Successfully complete a post-offer physical exam, drug screen and background check
