Overview:We are currently seeking a Wire Transfer Supervisor based out of Houston, TX. The Wire Transfer function provides funds transfer services for all Commercial & Retail customers within the US, Hong Kong & China. This position provides day to day management of the operational unit to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of these services, ensures all established service levels are met and that all critical daily functions are successfully executed and completed.
The Wire Transfer Supervisor will directly supervise a team of non-exempt employees. The candidate will rely on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals, delegate work to staff as necessary to ensure resources are used with utmost efficiency. The candidate must have thorough knowledge and understanding of all wire transfer types and be familiar with wire systems such as FedLine Advantage, PAYplus USA or similar wire system, and SWIFT. Additionally, they must be familiar with East West Bank product offerings, Wire Transfer forms and agreements, and system requirements. Furthermore, they will be familiar with department policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to wire transfers and coach/train staff on new processes. The Wire Transfer Supervisor will be responsible to provide issue resolution related to wire transfer inquiries within the established SLA’s. Job functions may vary, and other duties assigned based on business need.
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist the operational activities to ensure all operational deadlines and service level agreements are met.
  • Determines and monitors workflow, schedules and delegates work to staff as necessary to ensure staff resources are used with utmost efficiency.
  • Performs Start of Day/End of Day Processes including system monitoring and escalation of system connectivity drops or outages.
  • Timely and accurate input and verification of outgoing wire transfers.
  • OFAC review of incoming and outgoing wire transfers, which may include escalation to BSA/Compliance Department
  • Payment exception processing of incoming wires routed to exception queues
  • Investigation processing including creating and logging cases to Wire Case Management system with measured SLA’s
  • Reconcile wire requests to wire logs and supporting systems (FedLine, PAYplus USA or similar wire system, SWIFT & Test Key) reports and balances to the wire clearing accounts and General Ledgers
  • Participate in UAT testing for all wire interfacing platforms including wire system upgrades and migration planning.
  • Customer service focus with the ability to communicate, respond and resolve transaction inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Understand and adhere to the department and Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Promptly identify and address staff member performance issues and assist with annual performance reviews.
  • Work variable hours which may be adjusted to accommodate workflow.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • 10 key-by touch, typing 40-50 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced, highly secured, and measured production environment, specifically, when meeting deadlines with utmost efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal (telephone) & written communication skills (email) to interact with internal department and other banks.
  • Good critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Knowledge of SWIFT and Fundtech’s PAYplus USA or similar system preferred.
  • Wire Transfer experienced required.
