Position Summary:

Assume responsibility for Warehouse Management System Setup (WIN) / DLx. Involved in all facets of hardware and software regarding WIN & DLx System. Must have sound knowledge of Distribution Process's and use of technology-based solutions to increase productivity and service levels. Must have sound knowledge of Labor and Incentive process and the use of technology-based solutions. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and IBM smart suit applications. Must have a working knowledge of UNIX and Informix. Must have the ability to develop database applications. Must possess the ability to train end users on software applications. Must have the ability to troubleshoot and document solutions. Must have the ability to direct employees to completion of tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop database applications that will be used to enhance business process in distribution applications.
• Develop and provide instructional classed to end-users in system applications used and in Warehouse Management Software.
• Identify, design, and implement technology, and procedural based solutions to increase warehouse associates productivity.
• Analyze the distribution processes and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Monitor error logs and system output reports to ensure system performance and data integrity in Warehouse Management System.
• Document and resolve system issues and determine cause and effect items within Warehouse Management System
• Assist in design of requested enhancements for Warehouse Management System.
• Ensure that users of Warehouse Management System are using proper methods to perform tasks and proper problem solving techniques are being utilized
• Direct bargaining unit employees to completion of work.
• Set up new employees and maintain shift schedules.
• MAS training and tracking to improve productivity.
• Create Job Codes in both DLx and Krono's.
• Write procedures for end users to follow regarding to new or improved job codes.
• Daily maintenance and clean-up of both DLx and Krono's.
• Monitor process log and correct any errors.
• Correct any processing error and reprocess the files.
• Create data bases, reports, and track and trend efficiencies.
• Identify areas for reducing GAP, Lost Hours and indirect time.
• Getting all work measured and tracking on DLx.
• Track and monitor new hires progression to hired status.
• Missing legal wording

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Understand warehouse operations and flow.
• Knowledge of switch and router installation, maintenance and management.
• Computer skills - Advanced.

Desired Experience:

• IS Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience in Information Systems position or related business.
• 2 years experience working with AIX Unix platforms
• 2 years working with relational databases.
• Knowledge of computer languages such as Java, CICS, DOS and/or C-base helpful.
• Working knowledge of systems (WIN, DLX, etc.).
• Experience using Microsoft programs (including Excel, Access and Word).
• W.I.N. & DLx mastery
