SUMMARY

The Wholesale Parts Performance Manager will provide in-dealership best practices consultative services to optimize the dealer's overall parts performance. The Wholesale Parts Performance Manager is responsible for driving parts sales growth efforts through the wholesale channel as well as via eCommerce. In addition, this position will support sales development and growth within GST dealer collision centers, which are key partners for our wholesale business.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In partnership with the district DSPM, drive growth in wholesale (collision & mechanical) part sales
  • Establish/develop in-dealership parts department contacts and understand improvement opportunities at designated GST dealerships.
  • Conduct formal parts wholesale business development customer/client contact visits for parts wholesale and collision contacts with dealership stakeholders.
  • Coordinate development and support all aspects of parts and collision training
  • Report parts wholesale performance, analyze opportunities and present recommended actions to assigned dealers, GST management and field
  • Utilize key tools for parts wholesale and eCommerce growth, including but not limited to: Parts Sales Xcellerator (PSX), RepairLink, Overall Parts Solutions (OPS), CollisionLink, CCC, RevolutionParts, SimplePart
  • Collaborate with the GST field on parts business and related opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of TMS/GST programs (e.g. STAR Elite, incentives, rebate programs, warranty, parts retention, core return program, Dealer Tire).
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general Parts Manager responsibilities and DMS settings through ongoing consultation and training.
  • Support Toyota Certified Collision Center (TCCC) certification process - including requirements regarding performance, equipment and training.

  • In partnership with the district DSPM and Collision Business Development Manager, support sales development and growth within GST dealer collision centers
  • Visit with dealer collision centers to assure that customers' needs are met, vehicles are fixed right the first time and Toyota standards are achieved or exceeded mainly through the purchase and use of Genuine Toyota Parts
  • Analyze opportunities for business growth, profitability, and utilization of Toyota parts and resources. Share recommended actions with GST's Collision Business Development Manager, GST management and field.
  • Serve as a partner for collision strategies and solutions. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to leverage throughout the organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience requirements:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; plus seven years' experience with automotive OEM (Retail dealership experience preferred) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Retail (dealership) experience strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience working with DMS systems (e.g. ADP, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, UCS, DealerTrack)
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of computer software: Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to teach and facilitate learning
  • Demonstrate self-management, time management, and process management skills
  • Ability to influence others (negotiating skills, persuasiveness, & tenacity to follow through)
  • Ability to outline goals and outcomes, gather data, brainstorm on alternative solutions, evaluate pros and cons and make recommendations for improvement
  • Demonstrate leadership, teambuilding, planning, and coordinating skills.
  • Is customer and dealer focused; assist dealers to satisfy customer demands

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*

GST 5 State Auto Manufacturer licenses are required. A valid driver's license.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The associate is frequently required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business purposes. A large amount of this travel involves driving a company vehicle. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job requires significant domestic travel (up to 50% of the time). As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environment, car dealerships, and semi-industrial settings. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
