TNT Environmental, Inc. (TNT) is seeking a Wetland/Environmental Project Manager with 2-5+ years of relevant experience for its Chantilly, Virginia office. Qualified candidates should have a degree in Biology, Ecology, Botany, or Environmental Science, well developed written and oral communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment. The position will entail a mixture of office and field work.
TNT is a multi-disciplined Wetland and Natural Resource consulting firm specializing in fields of biology, ecology, botany, forest ecology, and arboriculture. TNT’s staff routinely performs wetlands and Waters of the U.S. delineations, stream assessments, regulatory permitting, and wetland and stream mitigation projects.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the position are to conduct and manage routine to complex wetland and natural resource projects, manage and train a team of wetland and natural resource professionals and business development. Fundamental and working knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory regulations and processes in Virginia, Maryland, DC and West Virginia are critical.
Additional responsibilities include various levels of project management, personnel management, proposal writing, professional presentations, profit/loss analyses, etc.
Required experience includes:
- Wetland Delineation field experience
- Regulatory permitting experience with multi-faceted applications
- Strong working relationship with local, state and federal agencies (i.e.: DEQ & USACE)
- Stream assessments and Chesapeake Bay studies
- Construction and mitigation oversight/monitoring
- Working knowledge of area vegetation
- Project management (i.e.: scheduling, financial management, proposals, etc)
- Preparation of technical reports
- Personnel management
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Biology, Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science or a related degree (M.S. preferred).
- 2-5 years of relevant wetland delineation and regulatory permitting experience.
- Wetland Professional In Training (WPIT), Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification (Professional Wetland Delineator registration desired).
- Rosgen Levels I-II preferred
- Experience with local, state and federal environmental and wetland and natural resource regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (writing sample may be requested).
- Ability to demonstrate previous project and proposal management skills
- Experience with marketing and/or business development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
