Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Reports to: Welding Lead

Location: Carterville, MO

Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm, M – F

Compensation:$14.00 - $17.00 / hour

Includes full benefits package, PTO, 10% raise at 90 days, 401k grant & match, Productivity Bonus

Job Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator sets up and operates fabricating machines. Must be able to read engineering drawings, determine the design specifications necessary to precisely cut, bend, punch, and drill. These pieces are then assembled, mig welded and ground smooth. The completed component makes up the metal assembly of our park fountains.

Candidate will assist with the continuous improvement of how we manufacture our fountains by offering new ideas on our current process. Must possess the ability to work independently of direct supervision and work as a member of a team. The individual must show that they have integrity, honesty, and the willingness to treat all coworkers with respect. We will train interested individuals.

Requirements:

• Excellent attendance history
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to stand/walk, push, and pull for extended periods of time
• Assures work instructions are followed and the highest standard of quality is maintained

Qualifications:

• Experience with a mig welding machine, plasma torch, and grinder
• Experience in TIG welding is a plus
• Welding experience in both mild steel and stainless steel
• Grinding experience to make the parts aesthetically pleasing
• Ability to read and understand a print to manufacture assemblies
• Continuous Improvement background with demonstrated results.

STERN-WILLIAMS will perform a background and you will be required complete a drug screen. You may be subject to complete an DISC profile. STERN-WILLIAMS is a non-smoking campus.
