Western Home is seeking a caring Weekend Package LPN/RN in our Grundy Center location (Creekside Living), that will truly love what they do and love where they work. Your day-to-day will include (but are not limited to) building relationships with those you serve and work alongside, supervising the resident care received, and accurately communicating, documenting, and administering needed medications/treatments/etc. based on physician orders. In this role, you are sure to gain valuable professional skills and experience that will last a lifetime!

What you'll do:
  • Effectively communicates resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor
  • Maintains awareness of the condition of all residents under their care
  • Accurately administers all medications, treatments, and physician orders taking ultimate responsibility for resident care
  • Supervises, assists, consults with, and teaches certified nursing assistants
What you'll need:
  • Graduate of a state board-approved LPN/RN school and currently licensed in Iowa
  • (LPN) Successful completion of state mandatory supervisory course within six months of employment
  • Current in CPR certification or willing to achieve it
  • Able and willing to work at a minimum, a total of twenty-four (24) hours each weekend. "Weekend" means the hours between 6:00 am on Friday and 6:30 am on Monday.
  • Understanding that the weekend shift scheduling includes the ability and flexibility to work all shifts, as you will be scheduled on an as-needed basis each weekend
  • Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
