Water/Wastewater Operator Job at Franklin County, VA
Ferrum Water and Sewage Authority is currently accepting applications for a Water/Wastewater Operator. This position is responsible for performing professional work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater treatment plant facilities and other utility facilities and ensuring that all work and operations are in conformance with applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances; performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for operating and maintaining the Authority’s water and wastewater treatment system facilities as required. Requisitions materials and supplies. Performs maintenance as required and directs contracted maintenance work. Maintains records and prepares complex reports. Subject to 24-hour call and may work varied shifts as assigned. Salary is based on experience and qualifications. Benefits offered include Health, Dental, VRS Retirement, Vacation and Sick Leave.
