Job purpose
Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, and inventory management.
Primary Position Duties:
Duties and responsibilities
- Unloading/receiving all deliveries
- Load and log materials onto truck and makes notation of returned materials
- Responsible to ensure warehouse is safe and accessible and complies with OSHA guidelines and Company safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to move and unload very heavy and bulky oversize items
- Ability to assist management with developing and executing a materials flow and reconciliation process
- Must be able to reconcile actual issued materials to materials usage reports from field personnel
- Ability to work with management to develop and execute on an inventory control and periodic full inventory count process
- Perform cycle counts as necessary to determine accuracy of the inventory control process
- Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.
- Safely load construction and building materials into storage facilities. Including the safe use of automated loading systems.
- Keep all bays stocked and neat to facilitate efficient load building processes.
- Use forklift to build outgoing orders for construction projects.
- Use forklift to load completed orders onto delivery equipment maintaining safe procedures and stacking methods.
- Empty trash receptacles as necessary.
- Keep staging areas clean and organized.
- Follow safety procedures as outlined by company safety program and operator manual for forklift.
- Maintain a current forklift operator’s license.
- Performing all duties safely
Position Requirements:
Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse setting. Majority of work is outside in working conditions that vary depending on seasons. Temperature variations and inclement weather are real aspects of the work environment. Must be able to lift to up to 100 lbs., spend long amounts of time sitting, stooping, reaching, bending, climbing, standing or walking. Frequently works overtime during peak business months.

Education or Skills:
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse setting or construction industry preferred
- Must have forklift experience. Certification preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast -paced environment
- Able to perform basic math skills
- Experience using RF Scanner
- Intermediate Computer Skills
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong Attention to detail and able to multitask
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs
- Able to push brooms, mops, vacuum cleaner, etc.
- Must be able to bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist, knees to handle materials.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time on concrete floor.
- Works in a warehouse environment, but not limited to working in office, construction site or outside.
- Able to adapt to weather conditions as needed.
- Able to adjust to noise within the warehouse.
- Valid driver's license and able to pass background check and drug screening

Hours: Typical work day will start at 6:30am. with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
