This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Day shift only!

Duties and responsibilities

• Pull items on pick tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review all pulled orders to ensure shipping accuracy.
• Prepare freight bills for outbound truck shipments and make sure drivers are creating bills of lading for all hazardous materials shipped on our trucks.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding/shipping area.
• Prepares and ships small packages
• Receives, checks, and documents all inbound shipments into business system.
• Restock shelves quickly and correctly.
• Obey all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor.
• Manages physical inventory to ensure that all merchandise is in correct locations and counts are correct.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Receive and evaluate all customer returns to determine if credit is due.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and supplies as needed.
• Ensure that general housekeeping is followed inside and outside the warehouse to ensure the warehouse is safe for customers and co-workers.
• On occasion, may need to drive pick-up truck or van to make local deliveries.
• All other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES : Communication proficiency, organizational skills, mathematical skills, technical capacity, attention to detail, and time management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Require candidates with one year of warehouse experience.

Require candidates with forklift operation experience.

Spanish speaking is a plus.

Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

Working conditions

This position works in a warehouse setting, with both indoor and outdoor exposure during the workday.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
