This is a part-time hourly opportunity at 18 – 24 hours/week with potential for advancement to full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Move incoming and outgoing merchandise throughout the gallery, warehouse, photography studio, and storage areas.
• Maintain organization of warehouse, storage, and location of merchandise; rotating as needed to ensure efficient availability in coordination with auction schedule.
• Assist in off-site pick-ups and deliveries, transporting merchandise and unloading of truck.
• Verify inventory records ensuring items are accurately documented and tagged.
• Work closely with Administration to communicate with buyers regarding inventory pick-up deadlines and delivery options.
• Work closely with Operations regarding inventory status and maintain accurate record status changes both digitally and physically.
• Responsible for general office maintenance – exterior window cleaning, art installation, lighting installation, ad hoc repairs as needed.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

• Experience handling art, antiques, furniture a plus, but not required.
• Client service experience.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Technologically efficient; must be adaptable to learning online inventory management system.
• Team spirit.
• High requirement on attention to detail.
• Meticulous in handling objects, capable of exhibiting extreme care with all items.
• Strong sense of responsibility and able to work independently.
• Comfortable with heights.
• Continuous lifting of merchandise up to 65 pounds on a regular basis, and occasional team. lifting of merchandise up to 85lbs.
• Continuous walking, including long distances and up and down stairs.
• Standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and pushing and pulling using hands and/or arms on a repetitive basis above and below the shoulder level.
• Operate box truck, scissor lift, and other machinery as necessary.
