Pioneer Medical Center is seeking full-time and/or part-time Dietary Aides to join our patient care team. We are, essentially, the county hospital for Sweet Grass County, Montana.

The Dietary Aides help set up the dining room, help prepare & serve meals to residents & patients, and then set up the dining room for the next meal.

Meals are a particularly important part of a patient's/resident's day. They break up the day, are a nice diversion to what can otherwise be a lot of looking for something to occupy the mind, and everyone likes a good meal! Your work helping prepare and serve those meals is meaningful. It brings joy to people in the hospital.

The Dietary team is a good group, dedicated to doing something good for others, and very low drama

DESCRIPTION

• Operates dish machine and assists in washing pots and pans in 3 compartment sink to clean and sanitize dishes.
• Records and monitors proper temperature of dish machine and proper concentration of sanitizer solution.
• Properly stores all dishes.
• Completes training to become a Certified Feeding Assistant and helps feed residents.
• Prepares dining area for meal service and ensures dining area is properly cleaned after meals.
• Keeps working environment clean and in sanitary condition.
• Performs stocking and cleaning duties as assigned.
• May assist with checking in and putting away deliveries.
• Assists in training new dietary personnel.
• Assists other dietary personnel as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Lift a maximum of 50 lbs with frequent lifting/carrying up to 15 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, talking and hearing.
• Occasional sitting, pushing and pulling.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and write.
• Good personal hygiene.
