The Workforce Management team is responsible to lead Citi’s transformation efforts around staffing and skill adequacy and organization design. It is an exciting time to join the team as we are newly formed and in the building phase of developing the set of capabilities, processes and tools to analyze, forecast, organize and plan for the future of the workforce. The Workforce Management function is comprised of three pillars: (1) Workforce Planning, (2) Organization Design and (3) PMO and Risk & controls. This role is part of the Workforce Planning team and is responsible for supporting the design and implementing the transformation around how Citi manages resource needs, connecting headcount with financial planning processes and talent acquisition planning and assessing demand and supply and any associated resource risks.
As part of the Resource Planning capability, you will be collaborating on the design and implementation of the approach to resource planning for Citi. You will be a key player in embedding the resource planning processes across the organization and champion change efforts across key stakeholders in HR, Finance and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with the delivery of the Sustainable Headcount Management efforts for Citi focused on the processes, tools and change management to better standardize and align how Citi manages headcount and aligns with financial planning processes
- Inform the corporate standard for resource planning and partner with and influence business/function stakeholders to adjust forecasting and headcount planning process to align to the corporate standard
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition & People Insights, Third-Party Staffing Office, Finance and Resource & Location Strategy Team on resource forecasts to enable their planning needs
- Guide the development of the resource utilization framework, outlining the recommended utilization of different resource types (e.g., direct staff, consultants, contractors)
- Partner with the Workforce Management Strategy & Programs team in the onboarding and enablement of technology for resource tracking including designing the operating model and change management. Facilitate the transition of the firm to the future-state Resource Management tooling, including the position management strategy to control headcount
- Support the continuous monitoring of achievability of staffing levels, talent supply and strategies as needed across the Workforce Planning Build, Buy, Borrow framework
- Contribute to the on-time delivery of regulatory commitments regarding resource management
- Contribute to headcount data quality controls to ensure accuracy of headcount reports for areas of heightened monitoring, such as Non-employee tracking
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years’ experience in strategic workforce planning / learning / talent development
- Good understanding of key principles involved in strategic workforce planning
- Ability to understand, marshal and interpret a wide range of information, ideas and concepts, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
- Demonstrated experience of presenting complex ideas, data and analysis in a visually accessible way, ability to draft presentations and documentations to communicate key conclusions and complex issues to senior stakeholders
- Comfortable to work with ambiguity and managing high-paced environment with changing priorities
- Intellectually strong with a growth mindset, with a proactive can-do attitude to project delivery and “get things done” in a tight deadline
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to details, while keeping focus on the big picture; able to connect the dots across multiple pieces of work.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrating cross-cultural understanding and knowledge across multiple geographic locations.
