CBS Digital is seeking a strong, experienced product leader to lead its Shared Services Product Organization. Reporting directly into the EVP, Product & Operations, this role will lead all aspects of product strategy, development and deployment of a portfolio of shared/federated media products supporting some of the worlds largest websites, apps, data products and games. Products within this responsibility include data models and sports statistics, CMS/publishing tools, CRM products and marketing technologies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be accountable for and measured on four key leadership proficiencies:
TEAM DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCT VISION, EXECUTION, AND PRODUCT CULTURE
- Develop a strong team of product managers through a dedication to recruiting, training and ongoing mentorship.
- Translate the CBS Digital mission and vision into a meaningful and viable product strategy and plan for the shared services portfolio
- Responsible for assisting with quarterly planning and assigning objectives (problems to take on) to product teams
- Give to the product team a deep knowledge of the portfolio’s users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products
- Track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to the product portfolio
- Serve as primary architect and operator of the product planning, customer discovery, product discovery, and product development processes and can flex to various size teams with the focused goal of delivering consistently, rapidly, and effectively
- Act as chief evangelist and primary collaborator liaison for the products
- Strike the balance between continuous delivery and continuous innovation
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A product leader who can lead with confidence and without the need for reporting authority. The ideal candidate can navigate organizational altitudes well as a product strategist across a diverse portfolio of internal products, yet can flex to get their hands dirty to lead teams through the product development lifecycle with momentum. This role seeks candidates with:
- 7+ years of Product Management experience with exposure to consumer-facing experiences (ideally in media and data products)
- A confirmed ability to develop individual Product Managers and hard-working, cross functional teams
- The ability to get things done within a large organization and have absolutely proven your ability to do so
- A robust passion for modern, product development and digital products
- A true champion of partnership and is someone who easily earns the trust and respect of their peers
- Ability to communicate product plans and decisions clearly to all teams at both executive and individual contributor levels
- Experience using an OKR framework and are not afraid to sign up for outcomes
- Strong beliefs, loosely held; you willingly defend product decisions yet embrace having your point of view changed

Pay: $220,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
