We’re growing and have an outstanding position open for a Vice President of Outpatient Services to join our Behavioral Health Team.
What You’d Be Doing
As a Vice President of Outpatient Services, you would be providing excellent oversight to members of the behavioral health medical teams to ensure we are providing exceptional care for our behavioral health clients. You would develop strategies, plans and goals that support the mission of the company and carry them out in an organized and productive manner.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) or his/her designee, the Vice President of Outpatient Services is responsible for:
- In coordination with the CCO is responsible for establishing goals, objectives and priorities for the Outpatient program areas, and evaluating the programs’ effectiveness.
- Is responsible for oversite and enhancement of behavioral health across the lifespan.
- Oversees programmatic development, implementation, and planning for behavioral outpatient care services.
- Directly supervises the directors, supervisors and managers of behavioral outpatient health services.
- Is responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness of service components, and in a collaborative environment develops and revises services, policies and procedures in response to the needs of the clientele and community.
- As a member of the Clinical Services Leadership Team (Chief Clinical Officer [CCO], Vice President of Outpatient Services [VPOS] and Vice President of Specialty Services [VPSS]) and in coordination with the executive team, plans services in the context of the overall strategic plan of the company to provide integrated behavioral, substance, and medical care for the people in our programs/practices. It is critical that the CCO, VPOS and the VPSS work collaboratively as a team in all matters.
- Analyzes program data and performance measures in relation to services needs of the center and community; implements problem resolution strategies as needed.
- Ensures programs comply with federal, state, local laws, regulations and ordinances and assures consistency with all services provided at the center.
- Works with the CCO and VPSS to ensure that the integration, flow, and delivery of all services at the center are coordinated and provide collaborative work environment for all employees in the clinical teams.
- Monitors and adjusts daily assignments as needed.
- Provides supervision, direction, instruction, and guidance of employees under this position assignment.
- Manages the day-to-day workflow with assigned management teams.
- Evaluates and provides leadership to engage staff in high-performance outcomes; evaluates staff members based on their ability to contribute to organization/department goals and manages clinical productivity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For—The Must-Haves
Minimum of a Master’s Degree and/or Doctorate (preferred)- Colorado License in clinical psychology, social work, or closely related field.
- Minimum five or more years of behavioral healthcare experience and responsibility in overseeing healthcare clinics with a wide range of services;
- Minimum three or more years of upper management supervisory experience required following formal education;
- Previous experience in strategic planning;
- Behavioral health services development and operations;
- Interaction with executive levels of management is preferred.
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be prepared to participate as a healthcare professional for integrated medical and behavioral health service sites.
- Skilled in program development, implementation, and evaluation to effectively administer a variety of integrated healthcare activities.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and access to reliable transportation during work hours are required.
