In our Career Center, Vocational Evaluators provide very important assessment and training services to assist individuals in identifying jobs and career paths that match their unique skills and interests. Staff serving in this role will utilize information from several sources, including input from the individual and their support team, assessments, and formalized testing to assist individuals served in moving into the next exciting phase of their working life. The evaluator role also includes individual and group training opportunities to support people in learning self-advocacy, soft skills and other work readiness skills. There is an exciting emphasis on youth services to support individuals transitioning from school into their adult lives. This is a job for people who enjoy learning and moving around in different environments and supporting individuals as they pursue their dreams.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

• Providing instruction and support to the people we support with developmental, intellectual, and/or physical disabilities.
• Providing individual and group training to people participating in career readiness activities.
• Documents all program data and compiles reports accurately and timely for billing.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Use various software platforms for specific job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A VOCATIONAL EVALUATOR:

• Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling, OR
• Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a Master’s degree program in vocational rehabilitation or related areas such as personnel, counseling and guidance, OR
• Bachelor’s degree, and preferred experience in related employment services
