Job Description Summary:

The Vice President, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning serves as a key member of OhioHealth’s Human Resources executive team and is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and implementation for system-wide talent acquisition as well as developing and implementing workforce planning initiatives to meet staffing requirements for current and future business priorities. This includes leading all talent acquisition and workforce planning programs focused on advancing our mission, fulfilling our brand promise, and exceeding business results, thus creating a high-performing, sustainable organization. Responsible for establishing a strong external employment brand, ensure appropriate selection tools are in place at all levels, optimize time to fill, establishing key partnerships to accelerate the talent pipeline, improve quality of hire and decrease reliance on contract labor. In addition, establish an internal capability around human capital data and analytics to gain actionable insights around workforce forecasting needs, evolving skills and capabilities and help shape the workforce of the future.

As part of the OhioHealth’s Human Resources executive team, the VP will provide leadership and support the development of a high performing culture within OhioHealth that creates a marketplace advantage and distinguishes OhioHealth as a career destination organization.

This position will oversee the preparation of strategy, tactics and execution of plans and initiatives to assure OhioHealth is staffed with the best talent needed to achieve patient care efforts and strategic plan. The VP will offer timely, best-in-class thinking and expertise to counsel the organization on all issues related to OhioHealth’s acquisition of talent in support of our mission of improving the health of the people and communities we serve. The VP will also partner with the senior leadership team and key stakeholders to actively plan for, address, and forecast future talent needs.

12-18 MONTH DELIVERABLES:

Evaluate all TA core process, systems and tools to identity short-term and long-term gaps and a action plan to address key gaps

Develop an external employment brand (with marketing) and leverage to attract talent
Assess recruiter capability and develop/supplement as needed

Refine college recruiting strategy, confirm targeted tiered university relationships and secure high impact pipeline strategies

Refine TA scorecard that captures value added business measures and internal TA effectiveness

Develop and implement a cultural assessment to screen for fit

Develop a human capital data and analytics strategy and 3-year roadmap

Close hiring gap and improve time to start for critical roles

Partner with other HR functions and business leaders to maximize recruiting efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required and Master’s degree preferred

• 15 years in progressively responsible human resources leadership positions

• 5-10 years in leadership positions in Talent Acquisition or related HR function

• Process improvement of recruitment, on boarding and/or related HR activities

• Hands-on experience with candidate sourcing, interviewing and assessments

• Clinical recruitment experience a plus
