Assist the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President and Treasurer with the day-to-day operations of the Fund Accounting and Administration Department. &This includes, but is not limited to, the review of financial reports and analyses that are provided to management, shareholders, SEC and Board of Trustees. &In addition, this position provides oversight for fund accounting and administration functions outsourced to third party service providers.

Experience/Education Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 7 years of financial, accounting, or auditing experience in the investment management industry. &CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills required, as well as attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions (including, but not limited to):
  • Assist in managing daily operations of the Fund Accounting and Administration department, which includes supervision of staff/senior accountants.&
  • Maintain relationships with external service providers regarding fund issues.
    • Fund Accountants regarding accounting/pricing issues and performance monitoring.
    • Custodians regarding security settlement, fund holdings and cash movement.
    • Auditors regarding annual fund audits.
    • Transfer Agents regarding fund distributions and year-end tax reporting.
    • Sub-Advisors regarding accounting, reporting and distribution issues.
  • Collaborate with internal departments regarding fund issues.
    • Legal regarding SEC filings.
    • Marketing regarding shareholder communications.
    • Asset Management regarding portfolio reporting, fund leverage and compliance issues
    • Corporate Accounting regarding management fees, 12b-1 fees and fund subsidies.
    • Tax regarding distributions and year-end tax reporting.&
    • New Products regarding launch of new products and expense projections.
  • Review semi-annual and annual shareholder reports.
  • Review quarterly Form NPORT, Part F portfolio reports.
  • Review monthly Form NPORT filings.
  • Review annual Form NCEN filings.
  • Review of fund budgets.
  • Review and authorization of fund invoices.
  • Prepare analyses and projections related to fund distributions, potential fund mergers, liquidations and new products.&
  • Review Section 19a-1 notices for the funds.
  • Special projects and analyses as required.
  • Supervision and mentoring of staff/senior accountants.
