Job Overview:
We are actively hiring for a Vice President of Sales who will set a vision, develop the strategy and own the results for our high performing sales organization. We are in growth mode and looking for an entrepreneurial-minded and self-motivated sales leader that will thrive in a fast-paced environment with an unrelenting desire to win. The VP will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand our clients’ needs and our product capabilities to champion key initiatives and ultimately drive revenue growth. Our employees always come first, and this leader will be responsible for engaging with the entire sales organization to mentor, develop and retain talent while creating growth opportunities within the team.
What You’ll Do as the VP of Sales:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Ed-Tech industry to include our current clients’ business, the competitive landscape, and opportunities for EBITA growth
- Set a vision and create the supporting strategy to achieve growth objectives across our complex business
- Lead and develop a high performing group of sales leaders and sales professionals to hit revenue targets
- Partner internally with Technology, Operations and Marketing to identify key strategic initiatives to drive growth
- Engage directly with clients to develop relationships in a forward-thinking and consultative manner
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and supporting team metrics to achieve and exceed goals
- Identify areas of improvement in the sales process to increase revenue
- Work with SVP of Enterprise and ILS to collaborate on strategy and execution across the business units
What You’ll Need to be Successful as the VP of Sales:
- Experience leading and coaching a high performing sales team in a Software-as-a-Services organization
- Track record of success in prioritizing competing opportunities/projects and collaborating with internal departments to drive performance and achieve company-wide goals
- Passion for mentoring and growing and retaining sales professionals and leaders.
- A history of providing accurate sales forecasts and relevant reporting based upon realistic timelines
- Proven ability to listen and interpret customer needs and requirements and present a solution
- A consultative, value-based driven sales approach with executive level decision makers
- Strategic experience selling to multiple constituencies within an organization
- Ability to work proactively and act independently
- Solution-oriented if performance isn't where it needs to be
- Confident and independent person who is a self-starter with a strong competitive edge
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft products
- Travel as needed for customer and internal stakeholder meetings (approximately 25%)
Performance Expectations:
Identify 3 key measures of performance for the individual in the position to succeed.
- Meet and/or exceed the revenue quotas that have been assigned to corresponding sales team.
- Demonstrate an understanding of ASC products and how they benefit customers.
- Identify key initiatives that will drive growth in the organization.
