Summary/Objective: A VP, Manufacturing Operations is responsible for directing work teams that develop and executes plans and processes to forecast, analysis, purchase, warehouse, assemble, QC, and transport equipment to customer locations. This position oversees multiple teams and works across functional areas to ensure products and materials are shipped to meet customer demands. This role is responsible for performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a leader who supports the continued growth of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs the maintenance and administration of the Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) tool and uses it to make recommendations to executive management on what to purchase for pending orders and forecasted business opportunities.
• Direct all purchasing finished assemblies and components for major build releases, spare parts / components for equipment operating in the field and MRO/Engineering parts.
• Directs supply chain processes and policies including warehousing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, production shop floor control, inventory accuracy and costs.
  Perform vendor relations management to key suppliers and manufacturers. Track and report purchase costs against initial costs in project business cases for key finished goods.
• Directs the scheduling, final assembly and QC of finished goods needed to fulfill both internal and external customer orders.
• Responsible for the budgeting for all the Groups within Manufacturing, Hardware Engineering, Purchasing, Warehousing, and Inventory and Materials Control.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

• At least 8 years’ experience including:
• Experience in purchasing, warehousing, and inventory management
• Experience in manufacturing
• Experience in operations / production management
• Experience in electronics
• Experience in managing people
• Familiarity with business analysis processes is highly desired

Licenses/Certifications: Certification in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or APICS/ASCM is preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directs the activities of a diverse team of Inventory, Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Business Analytics specialists. Responsibilities include hiring, managing, coaching, and developing key personnel. Supervise managers and associates in local and remote locations. This position will also be expected to manage key vendor relationships.
